Did you know that 82% of dogs seized under BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) in the UK are taken from their families not because they did anything wrong, but simply because of the way they look? An accusation by ANYONE that your dog is "pit bull type" often leads to seizure and throws families and their absolutely innocent pets into the black hole that is BSL in the UK. It costs thousands of pounds to even get the chance to fight the accusation and even then there are times that families, uninformed and intimidated by law enforcement sign destroy documents on the spot without even realizing it. Many places in the USA have imposed bans on Pit Bulls. Not to mention the difficulty families with innocent dogs have finding rental housing and getting insurance for their homes even if they own them.

Myth:

Certain dog breeds are born more dangerous than others. Not true. Dogs are born innocent and it’s the people, neglect and even brutality they encounter that leads to bad outcomes for all of us.
